• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

The Hurt Locker: if this movie dosn't take best pichture this year then I know for sure the fix is in. all I can say if you have the means to go see it do! I say this because it is a limited release for some reason? and so not everyone will get the chance to see it. Im going to say this ya'll can gaff @ me, I don't care.... but for my dollar it was one if not the best war movies I have ever seen..... scratch that!! it is one of the best movies i have ever seen.
 
I see that it's currently showing near me, so I'll take the time to go see it based on your recomendation... ;)

Limited Release simply means that the first week or so is limited to selected theaters. That way, if the movie bombs they have time to cancel the wider distribution, and minimize their losses.
 
Looks awesome! I have thing for this kind of films, I received my military training in deactivating bombs, mines and booby traps.:monkies:

Hopefully DVD will be out soon.
 
One of my Barnes & Noble coworkers who is a hard-core movie buff told me if I only see one flick in a theater this year I should go see The Hurt Locker. Based on his recommendation alone I'm gonna go see it.
