• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I have always been intrigued by the widespread international appeal of this site, with an obvious American hard core, but a lot of us Europeans, Aussies, etc etc.

Is there any way of giving us a breakdown of the membership by nationality ? I realise that a few choose to remain anonymous so you can't tell if they are in Argentina or Alaska, but it would be interesting, non ?

well you can search the members list by location useing the advanced search, only really works if they have England,America,Australia etc as their location though

I agree, Lefty. The ability to learn and understand from people who's background is different from mine is one of the best aspects of SOH. I find it insightful when I read the views of someone from half a world away.

That's just one of the things that I like about this site. A beautiful aircraft is a beautiful aircraft in any language.
I'm a Hoosier...from back in the day when someone knocked on the log cabin door, Who's there ?

That's the one thing that I've enjoyed the most about online flightsimming in general, not just CFC/Sim-Outhouse.
Starting back flying CFS1 online in '99 I've got to know folks from all around the world. France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Russia, you name it. Lots of people from places I'll never get to visit in real life but I sure wouldn't mind stopping in to visit with them face to face.

What part of Indiana? I was born and raised in Indy. Grew up on the northside. Haven't lived in Indy since the late 70s, but still have two sisters who do.

Born and raised in the woods just east of Texas in Arkansas. Lived in Scotland for a couple of years on the Clyde and in a small town on the Belgian coast for two years. Hang my hat in Tennessee now and don't see myself moving in the future.
