Hmmm. May just have to move again. :d

Hot??? Nah, it's only supposed to get to 98* today, humidity only 99%. August is when it's gonna get HOT...:monkies:

Seems there are quite a few cheeseheads around here. I grew up two block from Lambeau Field back in the late 60's. Remeber the Ice Bowl?

Mais,...how come y'all leff?....:isadizzy:

I graduated from college when the bottom fell out of the oil industry in the late 1990s. (Remember the bumper sticker "Will the last one who leaves Lafayette please turn the lights out"?) The closest job I could find with my engineering degree was with the electric company in Beaumont.

Times have changed things 360 degrees since then; Lafayette was clearly booming like crazy when I visited there a month or so ago. But, I haven't made it back over the Sabine River.

Oh, and it isn't any cooler here -- highs have been 100 degrees the past week. But not quite as humid. :pop4:

Yeah, My daughter lived in Beaumont for a few years, then back to southern Louisiana, now she and her family live in Katy, Tx. only a few hours Austin and the Hill Country...:applause:

Very interesting, the majority seems to be from outside the USA. Me I from Oklahoma but living in Texas these last 18 years.

I believe that Alexa.com will only list countries that have 2% or greater participation...

Nope, the listing for Avsim.com shows some countries with only 0.8% participation...

The age demographic for sim-outhouse.com shows greatest participation in the 50-64 range, as compared to Avsim.com's 65+ range.

Those are weird stats. South Africa ? Russia ? What about all our Dutchmen and Aussies ? Very odd.
that could be listed members
not active members
for example there are a lot of French members
but not many that post
Ie 200 french members but 3 that post
maybe 10 Dutch and 9 post
so what you see and i see maybe different
because i register a lot of people
does not mean they post

Like H said, we've got a lot of members who aren't active in the forums. Quite a few sign up to able to download but never post.

I didn't say it was hot there TODAY - heck that's what it's like here in TN too.

I'm talking about later when it's 112* and 120% humidity. In TN its cooler - usually only 105* and 100% humidity - like a cool balmy day.

I'm a Michigander; been here my whole life. I've traveled some but always seem to come back. Granted times are tough here but I seem to get by fine.
I too like the fact that our hobby is a worldwide phenomenon. I didn't get to converse with real live Dutch people until after I joined this forum (I'm a 4th generation Dutch-American myself; hailing from near Holland, Michigan)
