How did they do that??!! AI behaviour is THE major item that needs to be improved... and they managed to do it in a way I would never thought it would have been possible. Amazing.
The resemblance of WOFF to CFS3 is now slight and it's down to much more than fiddling with Gmax and xdp files: although based on the CFS3 engine the OBD team have re-engineered a lot of the original sim code. This is a huge achievement!
The OFF team really work hard to get the historical detail right and what they've achieved with cfs3 is outstanding. Perhaps one day they will loose the shackles of this old sim once and for all. Only wish that there was a ww2 version!!
Yep, nice as it is, ETO doesn't hold a candle to what OFF has done, it's an entirely different level of modding. We can make awesome planes and scenery and missions but were're still operating inside the basic limits of stock cfs3, even in MAW/ETO/Rising Sun. I wonder if they could be convinced to tweak a few things and release a bare bones WWII sandbox for us to fill in? I'd gladly pay for such a product.
