The next Big Budget Blockbuster!

We are extremely pleased to invite you to the world premiere of our brand new FSX add-on mission, Big Budget Blockbuster
Welcome to the film business!

Your old buddy from school, who is now a big shot movie producer, has invited you to Hawaii to check out the set of his latest movie and to attend the wrap party with the cast and crew.

Free advertising eh? Am I the only one to have an issue with this? Considering as well that they are blue ink as opposed to red! :ipepsi2:

Devs have always been allowed to announce their projects here, no matter the colour of their name. SOH isnt just a dev friendly site for the well known names.

I just find it a bit cynical, they want folk to buy their product but are unwilling to contribute to a site which promotes their enterprise. Yes, I know there is virtually no money in development but still........

some do, some dont, donating as never been mandatory :)

It is hoped that devs who find benefit from their threads in our forums will donate but it isn't and never has been mandatory.

Dear all,

May I make a suggestion? As opposed to me (and other devs) posting in this "FSX General Discussion" thread, perhaps SOH could make a separate "payware" or "commercial product" thread. I fully understand the point about how it can seem cynical, hence the suggestion to have us devs post in a separate thread.

I don't know about other devs, but for me I always read the posting rules before I post. Some sites have specific sections where us devs are allowed to post, others don't. I read the terms of service for SOH and saw nothing preventing me from posting here, although again, I understand the argument suggesting against it. Regarding "red" vs "blue" ... I didn't realize at first this was about donating, until it was mentioned later by someone else. Why not simply ask me to donate? Where do I find info about this? I looked on the home page, but I must be missing it.

Thanks,
Chris

The video is nice, but i didn´t understand what tis product is about. Is there a place where i can find more info?

The product is an Add-on Mission for FSX. Here's a bit more of a description:

Welcome to Hawaii
Your old buddy from school, who is now a big shot movie producer, has invited
you to Hawaii to check out the set of his latest action movie and to attend the
wrap party with the cast and crew. You’re meeting up with him at the film’s
makeshift production office at the Lihue Airport on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.
Today’s early morning flight will take you from Lihue, around the island, through
the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, along the Na Pali Coast to the film’s dramatic
shooting location, and finally to Princeville Airport for the wrap party.
Your buddy will help you navigate and handle all the radio communications. But
it’s up to you to arrive safely at your destination. You are the Pilot in Command!

Aircraft:
- Cessna Skyhawk SP Model 172
Objectives:
- Land on the film set
- Land safely at Princeville Airport

We posted some screenshots on our facebook page during beta testing:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vertical-Studios/130096683668308

Or you can visit our website, but the above gives you more. At least on
our site you can see the other other products, perhaps giving you a better
understanding of what we do: http://vertical-studios.net/

If you'd like to try a similar product, then we do offer a free download of
Mountain Flying in Switzerland.

Hope that helps!

Kind regards,
Chris

I got this (as I do with all of Chris's missions) the minute it came out. I just managed to fly it today, which is good because I now have the A2A 172 to use.

Another winner Chris! I enjoyed it immensely! The beach landing and take off was a hoot! Richard Sorochak's Kauai photoscenery is also breathtaking!
