The "Those aren't Pillows" edition...

To all,

My wife (Erica) knew that I've been a bit down lately, and decided to get buy me a comedy DVD as a surprise gift. She say the "Pillows" headliner and had NO IDEA that Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is without a doubt in my top-five movies of ALL TIME. I hadn't seen it in years, and I laughed so hard last night watching it, I feel absolutely fantastic today. She had never seen it, and she was also in hysterics.

She also didn't know that it was about Thanksgiving, so we'll be watching it again in two weeks. It even has the missing "airline food" scene that was in the TV version. If you've ever seen the movie on TV, you're not seeing the whole movie.

God bless John Candy, I miss him every time I watch this movie. :salute:

I have to say that I really enjoyed this movie as well and look forward to it every year. My favorite part of the movie is when Steve is tying to pay for his room with a crispy burned credit card..lol. We lost John Candy way too soon in life. "The Great Outdoors" movie with John is also one of my favorites!

TJ,

"Now I'll move my car, but I want you to help him up. NO!!"

And of course, just after this....the best line is..."Are you all right? I've never seen a man picked up by his (male genetalia) before. Lucky for you that cop came along when he did, otherwise you'd be lifting up your schnutz to tie your shoes." :ernae:

THAT's a classic!

Due Date is supposed to have a similar story line - (I haven't seen it so I don't know but I keep reading this)

Reviewers welcome if you have seen it
