The Transcontinental Entry Thread

Please post your team or solo entry here.

Give your team name. And then for each pilot enter (a) SOH handle (such as "Moses03" or "SrG"), (b) first and last name (if you like), and (c) aircraft type, model, simulator (FS9/FSX), and author. (Please be specific about all this.) (Screenshots of your aircraft are good too, we like pictures)

Changes are fine after the initial entry; you merely need to get the Committee's permission. You can add or subtract pilots, change aircraft, and so forth – all up until race day. Any reasonable request for a change is likely to be approved but any change that might upset the competitive balance might not.

Team Entry. MM (Mike MacKuen) flying John Terrell's Warbirdsim P-51B in FSX. I'll fly as a second pilot for jt_dub (Jeff). This specific aircraft is also from the 339[SUP]th[/SUP] Fighter Group out of Fowlmere. This is 5Q-G (Bonny Bea) of Captain Lee "Dutch" Eisenhart, here with a 1944 Malcolm Hood conversion. (Thanks to Jan Kees Blom for his rendition of the livery.)

Dang, I didn't know WBS made a Malcom-hooded P-51B. I want one! Welcome to the race and the Outhouse, ratty!

I'll be entering as well
epwatson
Eamonn Watson

And I'll be flying the A2A P51-D Wop3 Military version with drop tanks (maybe, haven't decided that yet). With accu-sim. :)

A very foggy day at Long Beach, as we take the AH P-47D Razorback out for a check ride before the coast to coast event.

Entering the race a solo ride. Flying the (payware) AH P-47D Razorback 62nd FS/ 56th Group.

Taco (Jim)

Aircraft Factory F4U-1D, FSX. That's what I'm flying in the Great Transcontinental Race. Solo entry, at present.

Announcing a team entry of Me, Myself and I. It should take at least three legs, and since there's three of us it works out perfect. Planning and deciding which of us would take what leg started an argument that turned to violence when I gave Myself a black eye, right in front of Me, who stood there shaking his head. Finally after drawing numbers from a hat it was decided that I would take the first, the second would be done by Myself, leaving it up to Me to finish the race. The only thing we could decide on unanimously was the aircraft. We'll be flying the Warbridsim P-15B in the markings of Paul Mantz. Spectators are asked to give us plenty of space as we run our Chinese fire drills between landing and taking off again.

That's quite a formidable team you've assembled, Ed! :icon_lol: Welcome aboard!

Larry (Tako_Kichi) and I will be teaming up for the race.

We will be running in WOP/A2A P-51D Mustangs.

I plan on leading off after which he will run the rest of the race by himself. :icon_lol:

Solo Entry
Red Green
Lockheed P-38L Lightning by David Copley
FS 2004

Looking forward to revisiting an old friend from RTWs past. :ernae:

Planning on joining in for this one .
Probably Solo . FSX Warbirdsim P-51B in the colors of Mustang Mk.III, HB-837, flown by Leonard Cheshire, CO of the 617th Bomber Squadron ('the Dambusters') to mark targets for his bombers. More on this remarkable pilot can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Cheshire . Like the majority of the RAF's Mk.III Mustangs late in the war, HB-837 is fitted with a Malcolm Hood Canopy.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sat
:salute:

Solo entry: DarkCharizma, Klas
