The Wind in My Hair (pushes my plane backwards) bug?

Really enjoying this BHAH....
Think I found a wind bug unless we are allowed to fly in hurricane weather. Flying for Esc. 3 and noting some crosswinds so of course I'll fly and land INTO the direction of the hangers and deal with Command later.

However, I have noticed the wind gets so powerful that upon landing my crate, upon coming to a stop the aircraft will start moving BACKWARDS!!! I'll fire the engine back up and at 10% power it is still moving BACKWARDS.

My, can't believe they allow me to fly in such conditions :faint:

I could see this happening. In real life the only thing stopping this would be the tail skid digging in. I doubt the CSF3 physics model is sophisticated enough to know that the tail skid digs in more going backwards than forwards.

This may be one of those minor items that we may have to just live with (??). Just my guess. Others will know much more about this than me.

Odd one, guess it could have been really strong wind by the time you arrived back - we don't have runners to come get you and bring the craft in unfortunately

Next time please make a copy of the
OFF_Camp_Mission.xml file found in ....\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\missions\historical

mmediately afterwards and also
OFFDynamicMissionWeather.xml in \CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\weather

Keep those and we may ask to see them and take a look.

may be possible, some german planes even had a kind of "handbrake" at the wheel axle, a movable second "skid" that would dig into the ground just for those wind conditions.

In WWII the German's had the Fiesler Storch, which could stay still, but 12 Feet up in Heavy Headwind

I had this exact thing happen yesterday. I could actually hover above the group for a few moments, then drop to the dirt, then I was slowly swept backwards faster and faster. I found about a 40%-50% throttle would about hold me still. Was kinda fun.
