Thermawing for the RV

pilottj

Blues is Life
Hey guys,
I am embarking on a round the world RV trip. So far have flown (Napa) KAPC-KORS-CYVR-PAKT-PANC-PADU-PASY-UHPP-UHSS-RJTT-RJAW-PGUM (Guam). For flying in the cold ice prone areas, I have added thermawing strips to the RV Queen.

I also enabled heated de-ice in the aircraft.cfg, copied the 2d switch from the Lear in to the RV's panel.cfg. Added 40lbs to the baggage area for system weight. For some reason MS surface de-icing has no real effect in reducing ice drag/weight it seems. I just ended up having REX weather disable icing.
Thermawing has been certified for Lancairs and RV-10s. Figured it wouldn't be too hard to adapt it to the RV-7. I saved the thermawing strips on a PSD, if anyone wants, let me know.
Cheers
TJ
