I rarely think about payware these days but this got my attention:

SkyUnlimited Productions is pleased to announce the upcoming release of it’s FSX version of the WASP piloted AT-6D Texan. The release will be on Saturday, May 23 2009 in co-ordination with the big, Homecoming 2009 celebration, being held at Hangar One, at the National WASP-WWII Museum in Sweetwater, Texas. Plans are being made to have a computer set-up with a large screen projector so that visitors can see the plane in action.

To help raise funds for the museum, all sales of the WASP piloted AT-6D will be handled through the online gift shop of the WASP-WWII museum. Both FS9 and FSX versions of the WASP piloted AT-6D are included in the auto-installer that is being distributed on CD-ROM disks packaged in DVD cases. Technical support will be provided by SkyUnlimited Productions. While a small fee will be paid to SkyUnlimited Productions to cover the cost of duplications, all other monies received will go directly to the National WASP-WWII museum.

"The FS9 version has been upgraded from the original 2008 release to include the custom gauge set developed for the FSX versions.... A paint kit is included."

Guess I'll have to think about submitting a request to the Office of Money and Beer...

Good find...I need to stick that thread..Thanks for pointing that out..:icon29:

While the FS9 Wasp version included in this new Package will come with the latest custom gauges, I haven’t had a chance to update the original fs9 Texan package just yet. I plan on getting the original FS9 package updated with the new gauges sometime soon.

Thanks for the update Jesse. I'll unstick this one, but be sure to post when the FS9 version is released - you'll get a guaranteed stickie then!

Just in case I made things confusing. The Wasp version being released on May 23rd will have both FSX and FS9 versions with all the latest bells and whistles and gauges. We will be sure to let you guys know when the museum starts selling them. Thanks

I'm not sure if I understand this...

Will this be available as an update to the T-6 package that I already have?
And if so, what will be different?

Tom

The WASP piloted Texan being sold through the WASP museum should be regarded as a package all by itself. It has both FS9 and FSX versions. The difference between this FS9 WASP and the earlier one that was sold with 5 other variants is a new custom gauge set based on the gauge set developed for the FSX version and there are two different ways that the prop is modeled.

All 6 variants of the FS9 Texan/Harvard had been upgraded with the new custom gauge set and have been shipped off to Jesse.

Attached is a screenshot of the new custom gauges in the WASP-piloted AT-6D

John and I have been talking to the Executive Director of the Museum and they now have FSX up and running. Thus far everything is going well and the WASP Product and FSX should be running at the Museum for everyone to enjoy during these events.
