Tomorrow, 25th, being Anzac Day here in Australia I thought I would post this.

The verse highlighted in red is recited in all RSL clubs and at funerals of servicemen here in Australia.

Australia is a great and beautiful country filled with great people. I'm proud for having served in the Middle East with Aussies. While I'm not from Australia, I felt obligated to stop into this thread on your country's day to pay my respects to Australia's men and Women in uniform. I hope the US and Australia always share a great allied relationship.

A damp and chilly 04.00 start for the Dawn Service in Melbourne.
Time to see how many of my late Father's 'Catalina Club' friends are still with us as well as my own Viet Nam 'Vets' team.
Time flies.

Pat extremely good thread starter. The Aussie and Kiwi soldiers I befriended where great guys, and fearless warriors. I salute your country and your brave soldiers living and honored dead.

Our Anzac day has been saddened more than most Anzac Days with the crash of an Air Force Iroquois killing 3 crew members :frown:- they were on their way to an Anzac Day fly past.

That is terribly sad and my sympathies are for all.

They are genuine heroes!
