Hello all,

I thought some of today's history highlights were significant...

1819 - Queen Victoria was born in London.

1844 - Samuel F.B. Morse transmitted the message "what hath god wrought" from Washington, D.C. to Baltimore as he formally opened America's first telegraph line.

1883 - The Brooklyn Bridge was dedicated by President Chester A. Arthur and New York State governor Grover Cleveland and opened to traffic.

1935 - The first Major League Baseball night game was played at Cincinnati's Crosley Field.

1941 - The German Battleship Bismarck sank the British Battlecruiser Hood in the North Atlantic.

1962 - US astronaut Scott Carpenter became the second American to orbit the earth as he flew aboard Aurora 7.

1976 - Great Britain and France opened trans-Atlantic supersonic transport service to Washington, D.C.

Notable birthdays: Tommy Chong turns 72, Bob Dylan turns 69.

Bonus question: What unique feat was accomplished by Grover Cleveland that no other US president has ever been able to duplicate?

Eating 60 hard boiled eggs in 18 minutes and 12 seconds...that's my guess for what it's worth.

Even as a Brit I've heard the story!
Grover Cleveland was "twice" President, but not in consecutive terms. (22nd & 24th).
So Barak Obama is not the 44th, but the 43rd different President!

Obio,

Funny...but no. :d

Remember my profession, buddy.

Stuartcox got it right. Grover Cleveland is the only US President to serve two non-consecutive terms as President of the United States, as the 22nd President from 1885-1889, and as the 24th President from 1893-1897.

Rami,
That was too easy!
Try to find an answer to these:

Do you love me?

Do I look fat in this?

Were you looking at that girl?

Do you think she is pretty?

my Girlfriend asks them questions too it's a case of "sure do", "you look great whatever you wear" accompanied by a wink, "yes i was looking at her and thinking how lucky i am", "she's ok i suppose not a patch on you though" boy i'm such a suck-up :icon_lol:

Four questions men can't answer and the greatest trap of all time. The recommended protocol is either getting on the next plane to South America or instantly committing suicide. Everything else will get you into a big bunch of drama! :icon_lol:

I must have a weird relationship, and be an exceptionally lucky chap.

i) Yes, of course I do. I wouldn't be with her otherwise.

ii) If it makes her look fat then I tell her, and she respects me for being honest. I wouldn't want the person I love most going out feeling insecure about herself would I?

iii) Yes, of course I was, in the same way that she looks at men (and plenty of women). Just because we've decided to spend the rest of our live together doesn't mean you can suppress millions of years of evolutionary mating instinct.

iv) Yes, if she's hot, and my other half will probably agree.
