This is the easiest jet to land in FSX I have.

Thanks for the HU Caz, but I prefer not to d/l anything that Danny Garnier had a hand in hacking into FSX. just personal preference. Also, doesn't flyawaysimulation charge to d/l freeware?

In all truth MC, I don't think I got it from flyawaysimulations, but a French website. Couldn't find it when I Googled, all I got was the link I put up.

Sorry, but was unaware of the reputation of Mr. Garnier. :isadizzy: It doesn't detract from the quality of this freeware product.

Gunfighters forever ! :ernae:

Cheers, Henk.

Well, the Crusader from Roland Laborie is certainly a must-have in FSX, for those who accept port-overs like me. However, I would not say that it's easy to land. In fact, I could never land it on a carrier, the front gear would always fail during the cable catch (because of the decelleration, not because of the vertical speed), and the plane would always bank left of right during the decelleration, leading to inevitable crash :/

Of all the jets (military or otherwise) I have never had an easy time with landing a Crusader. My vote would be the Gloster Meteor. Always had soft landings with that one.

Thanks Henk,

Just found my download and that's where it came from.

I would never land anything other than a Storch or that Wessex on a carrier. :icon_lol:

Don't get me wrong the Laborie Crusader is a beautifully rendered aircraft, but I have never been able to land it successfully (probably due to low hours with the type). I've found the IRIS Hawk 200 much better-mannered near runways. Granted it isn't as fast up in the wild blue yonder as most military types but it's fun nonetheless.
Y'know what would be cool--a repaint for this Crusader to look like Shin Kazama's F8U (sharkmouth intake, unicorn insignia on fin) ;)

That's one airplane I never cared for. Never liked the design of it all. I know it has a lot of admirers, but I'm not one of them.

I have to ask, what is the problem that some have with Danny Garnier? The Crusader sure looks great. Just would be good to know if I should download the jet.

That's the one where the wing changes AOA for landing, right. I remember the first time I saw one. I was in pilot training and waiting to take off when one landed. I remember the crazy looking wing.
