Hi
Long time ago since I use floats…today a bad surprise. Have no idea why I got corrupted graphics.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
Any ideas?<o:p></o:p>
Thanks a lot <o:p></o:p>
Microsoft Windows XP, 32-bit (Service Pack 3) Ram 4 Gb

DirectX - 9.0
GPU: GeForce GTX 285
Driver 266.58
Memory1024 MB GDDR3

Looks like smoke included in the spray. Check your aircraft.cfg and see if yours is roughly like this;

[EFFECTS]
wake = fx_wake
//water = fx_spray
waterK= fx_sprayB.fx
dirt = fx_tchdrt
concrete = fx_sparks
touchdown = fx_tchdwn, 1

Cheers
Larry

^this

i had the same problem when i bought the aerosoft f-16, just have someone send you the effects and your good

Thanks...
Hapenning with all the floats...
Have total backup but unable to find fx_sprayB.fx effect. Found all others related with water...
All other games OK, even FSX. Think there must be something wrong with graphics card...

Regards

I'm almost certain it's a missing effects bmp texture inside your effects/texture folder. I saw the same problem with Tom Ruth's new 727 engine smoke effect before he uploaded the missing effects texture.

those black swuares indicate a missing texture.. check you effects file with a tet editor, and see what images are bing called.. You may need to replace an image in the effects/texture folder

Solving this problem is relatively easy.
First make a backup of your Effects folder, and store it somewhere other than your FSX folder.
Next delete the Effects folder from your Main FSX folder (sounds drastic, but don’t worry, you’ve still got the back up)
Then insert your FSX install disks and do a repair (don’t forget to repair Acceleration also, if you have it installed). This will create a brand new virgin Effects folder.
Finally, copy the contents of your original Effects back up folder into your newly created Effects folder inside your main FSX folder. Click o.k. to merge folders, but Do not over right any files.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
I think you should find that this will do the trick, but if it dosent you can do the same with the Texture folder (or you could do them both at the same time if you suspect that there is a texture file missing as Warchild has suggested)

Ian.

Glad I just keep a copy on an external HD of the entire FSX folder. Knew some day it will be usefull...

With your good advice just copy the entire Effects/texture folder from the backup.
Problem solved...
Haven't the slightest idea wich file was corrupted...

Thank you all
