This would be great with a flight sim!

I'm pretty sure that people have used that basic design for flying simulations....

[edit] yeah, do a google search for 'dreamflyer'.

That was cool.. Looked like he made it or made it from planes..

I wonder if that main frame was PVC plastic tubing...

It really needs a hood and cover assembly so you cant see your surroundings. Take that away, and your mind will think like the gravity that is being put on it and then you will really think your in the plane, car, boat, etc...

I actually have the plans for that frame (cost me $15.00) and it was originally made for flight sim and non-powered. A few people figured out how to make it powered like you see using a free software program for the inputs and if I'm not mistaking, windshield wiper motors so it is relatively cheap to make.

here is a link to the non-powered original:

and here is a link with some information and videos on how he modified it:

EDIT:

One more link with a howto for modifying the joyrider:

I have always dreamed of having a full motion flight simulator. That would be the ultimate. Unfortunately I am not talented enough to build one from plans; I just don't have the technical knowledge. I am happy with the simpit I built, but a motion simpit would be so cool. Buying one is out of the question.......just not in the cards. But I sure can appreciate what fun they must be.

But consider this; I am sure there will be several of them at the 2009 AVSIM Convention, and I plan to attend and get on every one of them!!!

Am sure my stomach wouldn't handle it now. But I used to love it when the pilots would try to make me sick, and couldn't. In fact, I would merely ask for more!!!

used to play a lot with sega's G-lock R360 in arcades years ago and could definitely picture that being adapted for FS , CFS , lock-on or IL2

$2,495 Buy It Now, and no picture?

Wrong. Even if I did have the money, that would automatically make me suspicious.
