• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Sorry, nope...didn't like it at all! LOL!

Mapquest, Google Earth and GPS locatie thingies have all proven that they don't know where I live. Doing a Mapquest for my address will put you about a quarter mile up the road, and on the opposite side of the road, from where my house is. Same with Google Earth and a couple GPS locatie thingies...have had delivery drivers and my sister-in-law's boy friend end up on up the road when trying to GPS their way to my door.

i have had mapquest lead me down a goatpath here and there, trying to get me somewhere by the most direct route. not always the best way.

ask any truck driver who's found themselves stuck on rte 129 in n. carolina

Do like it...have found myself being GPS led up a highway offramp to a supposed parking garage beneath...
But face it: mapping technology and effort is mind-boggling. In this neck of the woods Google Maps has driven every single bit of road and put it in Street View.
I live in the countryside and was blown away to find my rusty old farmgate in there. (Plus my neighbour's passing 4x4 snapped 3 times on the fly!)
