I wonder if there is somebody who can help me I have a Saitek wireless joystick which I use for Flight Sim X at first I could use the throttle okay when I installed the sim but now for some reason I cannot get the throttle to work in the sim even though the sim recognises it I may have pushed a button on the keyboard which allows you to throttle up on the keyboard but won't let me throttle up on the joystick
what do I do to get my setting back I have tried restoring the defaults but this does not seem to work any thoughts you guys gary.

Tried unplugging then replugging in the usb port?

Can you calibrate it in Windows? Does it function ok?

Hmm, maybe try uninstalling/reinstalling driver for joystick? Curious. I used to have problems with my CH controllers, but when a specific control lever isn't functional, it sounds like hardware vs software may be the culprit. NC

You might check this out!

Check your FSX settings for the Throttle Control Axis.

While in FSX, go to settings, click on Controls, click on the Control Axis tab.

On that tab's page there is a list of throttles 1,2,3, and 4. Those should have nothing displayed in the axis column next to them, unless you have maybe a multi-engine set-up of some kind of controllers.

But down near the bottom of the list on that tab page is a single setting for Throttle and in the axis column next to it it should have, Throttle 1, typed in that spot. That throttle title is used for when you only use single-throttle soley to fly all single and multiple engined planes with.

If that, Throttle 1, is not there in the axis column you can left click to highlite the throttle axis title line then click on the New asignment button and when you move your Saitec throttle it will automaticaly list it in the axis column out beside the Throttle axis title line.

Check to see that it is there.

If any of the throttle titles on that tab page has no axis designation for any throttle I don't think you will have a throttle when you move you Saitek throttle lever.

Just something to check.

I noticed sometime ago that if you moved the Joystick while FS? was loading, it caused the joy to load with non- zero settings. Keep your hands off the Joy while FSX is loading.
