Throttles losing power

I am helping a friend with his trottle settings in MSFS. His lever works normally. With brakes on we get full power and hold it. But as soon as my friend takes of and reaches 40 knots the power drops to zero. This happens with all types of planes. His throttle works fine in FSX and his settings are the same as I have.
anyone has a idea?

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago. I don't remember exactly, but take a look at the assistance options. I think it is autothrottle or something.

Probably not this, but I have a Logitech throttle quadrant. I also have a Logitech joystick unit that includes a throttle lever, which I keep at zero as it has been supplanted by the Quadrant.
During the weekend the aircraft I was flying would throttle up & take off, then throttle down, then up again and so on.
Finally figured out I had accidentally bumped the throttle on the joystick to about 25% 'on', & it was interfering with the Quadrant throttle settings. Pulling the joystick throttle back to zero fixed the problem.

If you have another device connected to the computer, say an Xbox controller, check your control settings in MSFS. Make sure the only throttle axis is set to your throttle control. Having multiple devices set to the same axis can cause strange issues.

Thanks for all the advice so far. We’ll check things out. My friend has a Saitek yoke with a three levers throttle quadrant attached to it. I could not find an auto-throttle setting in the Assistance Options, but a key combination shift+R. That toggles ARM AUTO THROTTLE. We are going to try that.
