Thrustmaster Hotas Cougar

Scratch

SOH-CM-2016
Is this stick still king of the hill? I don't care about the price, I just want something that will last as I'm sick and tired of repairing loose wires all the time. I would appreciate comments from anyone that has one.

I'm sworn to vote for the G940. I love mine :)

I know the Cougar's really well respected. G940 comes with pedals, but if you don't need those I'd probably go for the Cougar.

The forums talk about parts wearing out in the cougar. Still, I hear it is the one used by the USAF.

I have had a CH-Products fighter Stick and throttle combo for years. It has not given me one iota of trouble.

Scratch, I have had my Hotas Cougar for about six years now and still love it. The basic model is fantastic but as all moving parts wear out so will the pots and switches on your Cougar. I have replaced two switches over the six years. The one major modification I elected to do is I went to the Hall sensors and did the Uber 2 install using special aluminum parts. The Hall sensors and Uber 2 install have worked for four years without a single problem. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the input fellas. I just opened my old Saitek X-45 to give a repair one more try and after 10 min. I just said to hell with it. I'm tired of re-soldering wires. That new Warthog sure looks nice. Anybody got an ETA on it? I'll probably get a CH Fighterstick like Jmig though. A real fighter pilots opinion has gotta be worth something huh?:icon_lol:
