• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I have to take my 10 year old Yorkie, Bosun, to the vet's this morning to have him put to sleep...

He was just fine until last Saturday when I noticed brusing on his belly..Seems he has a auto immune disease that is attacking his blood platelets causing him to bleed out
He has been on steriods since Sunday but this AM he was coughing up clots and can not walk....I know this is the end


So now we say good bye to my dear Bosun (he was my first Mate on our sailboat, he loved to sail) and wish him fair wind and following seas........

I know this is such a sad time for you. I offer my prayers for you and Lil' pup. Very sad with that heart-felt decision. We have a 9 yr. Cocker-Spaniel.
 
I am so, so sorry, Rick. I know how much it hurts to let your best friend go. I will be thinking of you today.

Just got back from the Vet's---Bosun is gone
He passed away in my wife's arms

Man that was difficult but he is now in a better place...

Papab, so sorry....our four-legged family members are with us so short a time, but what joy they bring with them! Do not despair,
he'll be waiting for you, healed and whole, at the Rainbow Bridge. He'll have the wind at his back.....
 
I know that hurt all so well. So sorry for your loss. Give your wife love from us as well.

Rick, I'm sorry to hear about losing your good friend and family member. We went through that only a month ago and the grieving is still ongoing. Our thought and prayers will be with you today and for a long time. The Rainbow Bridge poem brought us cheer and a small smile.
