Tobii Eye Tracking hack.

Went ahead and installed FS24 this morning. Going through the VERY arduous task of trying to set things up. However, I did find one (relatively) easy hack to get Tobii Eye Tracker working.

Great video tutorial by Jonathan Beckett called "Configuring the Tobii Eye Tracker for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024"
(I can't seem to get the link directly to the YouTube video working in this post)

PS: Can anyone point me to the easiest controls setup tutorial. Man oh man, I think I've got a control setup and yet it doesn't save. Ugh!

Thanks, I've been watching video tutorials one by one. I have a general understanding on how control bindings work. The problem has been applying and saving them. It's just more complicated that it needs to be (as others have pointed out). Honestly, one of the reasons I waited until now was the dread of having to go through and map my controls with this new interface.

I hear ya mate! I'm waiting to dive into the new sim until I'm off of work. I'll have three weeks off in a week and a half, so I'll be able to take my time.

IMHO, the whole controls mapping of this new sim is a disaster. But we'll have to live with it.

Many mappings just don't seem to work, then there was the obscure binding I used to lower the gear which was a default engines auto stop.

I've gotten to the point where I just go in to the controls menu and delete all default settings and redo them to my preference. Took a little while for just my X-56, and it still does strange things at random times, but, atleast I know, (sometimes,) what I'm trying to do. However, when trying to do anything with my xbox controller, which I'm trying to learn to use just for the avatar and drone, anytime I try to assign something, I get "wrong device" in the label, and no changed setting. However, when I first started using it, shrtly after the sim was released, it was working fine and could be programed. It's getting to be like 2020 was/is, updates fix this, but break that. :banghead:
