Tobob scenery

Good morning,

You may have noticed that all of Tobob's scenery is in the "new" section of the library. Over the last week, all of his scenery has been updated in some form. The most extensive modifications have been to La Rochelle, Saint-Nazaire, and Bari, in that order.

All three have seen significant expansion, including an expanded cityscape. In the case of La Rochelle, that also includes a civilian port independent of the U-boat complex.

In the case of Saint-Nazaire, this includes an expanded cityscape.

In the case of Bari, this includes an expanded cityscape, as well as revised ship, vehicle, and anti-aircraft gun layout, as well as new anti-aircraft gun emplacements.

In the case of Taranto, this includes a revised ship, vehicle, and anti-aircraft gun layout, as well as new anti-aircraft gun emplacements.

In the case of Dakar, this includes a revised ship, vehicle, and anti-aircraft gun layout, as well as new anti-aircraft gun emplacements.

For all scenery packages, including Bermuda and Jan Mayen, the installation instructions for the scenery have been altered to prevent scenery conflicts and other issues that may occur from the original setup. This new setup has been tested on two computers and is running trouble-free on both,

There will be more updates to come and problems to iron out, I am just taking things one step at a time.

Hi Folks,

Rami recently sent me library objects by Tobob. They include two sets of bridges of varying dimensions and landmarks for Leningrad and vicinity.

I've added them to Tobob's La Rochelle library objects package and renamed it Tobob_Library_Objects - see:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=280&id=27186

Tobob also rebuilt the coastline and lakes in the Leningrad area. This scenery will be released in the near future.

Kevin,

Outstanding, thanks. Hopefully, at some point the Finnish airfields can be rebuilt as well. Looking forward to the release!

But will the lakes freeze in the Winter?!

Andrew,

I'll get Leningrad and surrounds, including any relocated airfields due to the terrain changes, uploaded first.

I think the rebuilding of the airfields with GSL scenery can be uploaded hopefully in the not too distant future as a separate package.

Michael, I've actually thought of using an ice texture for water in the hard winter texture set. It would mean a frozen Baltic Sea as well as the rivers and lakes.

Cheers,
Kevin

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is a total rebuild of the coastlines, lakes, rivers, roads and land class in the Leningrad area in order to match Rhumba’s mesh and water masks.

As a bonus I created islands for Vyborg castle, Oreshek castle, and the Peter and Paul fortress.

The package includes a number of Russian landmarks as well as three trestles and three bridges of varying lengths that fit well in this scenery. Kevin Driver has placed these objects in their correct locations.

This scenery is designed to be used in conjunction with Sander de Cocq’s Finnish Sea and Ajax’s Continuation War airfields.
