'Tony Stewart/Darian Grubb Split'

So what's your folks take on this? Good....bad...?
Personally, I tend to think it's on the bad side since momentum is clearly with them & now there's no way to see whether or not their championship momentum could/would carry into 2012.

Darian said quite some time ago that he and Tony made this decision at the beginning of the season. It's rather strange and it's unlikely that he will win a lot next year with a new chief, that takes some time.

Seems a shame to me to brake up a winning team like this. It was touching to see Grubb's emotion after winning the race/championship in Florida. I wondered if Tony would have reconsidered after that, but I guess not. Looks like Darian will be Denny Hamlin's CC next year so at least he landed on his feet. Heck, after this year's chase performance I guess he could go whereever he wanted.

I'd say Stewart will have more pressure in 2012 than Grubb......BUT.....Denny is quite "dynamic" so it will be interesting to see how he & Grubb interact.....
