Top Gun in FSX

I honestly sat there and applauded. Thius is pure gold!

"Top Gun'; the "Bullitt" of aircraft movies.

An unfair comparison. "Bullitt" had much more depth to its story.

Top Gun is nothing but a textbook case of aerial cinematography wrapped as a Hollywood movie.

As a Tomcat fan, it's a great vid to re-watch. The attention to detail to the original really amazed me, these guys went frame by frame to recreate the opening sequence in FSX.

Which isn't to say that's really a bad thing... I've re-watched Top Gun many times, I just skip over the non-airplane bits!

Top Gun is and continues to be a very entertaining film for those who like military aviation in the jet age. Bullitt... well... other than high speeds there is little comparison between the two films. Both are classic films and highly enjoyable.

Now, to the matter of the original post in this thread. That was a great video, very well done. :applause::applause::applause:

What about Miles Davis? Coolest cat there ever was.

I was Miles Davis's chauffeur for his Jacksonville, FL Jazzfest performance, way back in the late 1980s. Brilliant musician, but strange dude. He didn't talk much. Mumbled a lot. He hated being videotaped, and would turn his back on the audience if he saw someone with a video camera. Nowadays, that would be impossible to avoid!
