Top Secret Drum Corp.

I really enjoyed this! I wish I could see a "live" performance!

This is awesome!

This group is from Switzerland.

Nice find C9G, military drumline performances.

Kind of reminded me of Drum Corp International a little bit. If you do a google or youtube search you'll find thousands of hits. Blue Devils, Spirit of Jacksonville, The Cavaliers, Madison Scouts just to name a few are ones I enjoy seeing Live.

I try to catch them if they're in town.

Snare & Bass Drum, who needs all of that other stuff. Used to play many, many years ago. Kind of miss it, although my ears are worse off for it. :icon_lol:

My mistake - Tattoo, two t's.

More drumming here, this time the Royal Marines - (turn up the volume!)

The USMC "Eighth & I" also does a credible job each morning for the president. Someone may have recorded that ... not sure.

My dad used to play a tenor snare in the Harvey W. Seeds Post 29 American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps (Miami, Florida) back in the fifties. They won National competion six years in a row. You don't see many Drum and Bugle Corps anymore...

In fact, it's rare to even hear any military marching music in parades any more... :kilroy:

Anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area, the San Francisco Renegades
Drum & Bugle Corps have openings in almost all sections for
the coming 2010 season.

The corps will be making two trips back east to Rochester, NY
for competitions over the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.

The Labor Day event is the Drum Corps Associates Championship competition.

The corps also extends an invitation to march with the Renegades in the Chinese New Years parade on Feb. 27th.

When I was just a little kid, I always thought my dad was pulling my leg when he described flamadiddles, paradiddles, flams and double-paradiddles to me...

...when I auditioned for a spot in Kentucky Military Institute's Band Company, I learned better...

...and also discovered that I was hopelessly dyslexic with drum sticks, which is why I ended up playing the organ for chapel instead. :icon_lol:

Unfortunately, I'm completely musically illiterate ... I can't carry a note in a bath tub. If I had to sing for my life ... well lets just say it would end quickly.

I'm lucky I can even play a radio correctly.

:icon_lol:

And of course you knew I had to do this ...
