Topflight BT-13

Is this BT-13 still available anywhere? I went to the site, and viewed a bunch of pictures, but the purchase/download link doesn't seen to be functional.

Ahhh......That's Chris Herring's old site. I think it may not have been active for awhile.

Paul Clawson created a BT-13 for FSX. You can search it out on the major sites. (Flightsim, Simviation....)

I have the Clawson BT-13. The Topflight one had a bit more detailed cockpit which would be a plus for me. But, thanks for the suggestion ... I appreciate it.

That's the site I was on .... what I didn't realize is that it takes a L-O-N-G time to load! Once I waited, the purchase link came up and I was able to order the BT-13 (for $14.00). A few hours later confirmation showed up in my in-box and I was able to download the file. HOWEVER, the flight instrument panel.cfg aliases Lockheed_Vega gauges. I'm running FSX Steam which doesn't have a Lockheed Vega. Was it used in FSX or FS9? Any way I can get my hands on one? Or, could I edit the cfg to alias something else? I'm going to try to contact the author as well and see what he says.

Ken

The Lockheed Vega was converted to FSX (I think) a couple of times....

One copy is at Flightsim.com by David Grindele.

File name: vega8.zip

That should have the gauge cab in the panel file.

Wow, you guys are the greatest! It turns out I should have studied the readme more carefully. The author of two repaints (Chuck Lawson) thoughtfully provided all the gauges and necessary files. I just didn't read far enough. Am now a happy camper (other than the fact that I have to turn DX10 off to get a clear canopy, but that's no problem).

Thanks again for all the help.

Ken

If it's not too much trouble please post a couple of screenshots of the panel and of the model. If it looks ok maybe I'll purchase one.

Thanks,
mal

A shot looking forward in the cockpit, one looking aft and externals of the two repaints. Notice also the storage behind the cockpit.

I made 2 paints for it that kenp51 shows the outside of, 2 for FS9 and the same 2 for FSX. Just search "Lawsen" in the library - the res is 4096 for FSX too.
