Track IR4 with FSX anyone ?

I've recently acquired the much celebrated Track IR4 Pro for use with the forthcoming OFF3 but also use FSX a lot. I'd like to configure the F12 key which "resets" Track IR4 as a button on my Saitek X52. Its proving difficult to incorporate the F12 button.
Anyone else got this working OK and found the way to "drag" the F12 on to the Saitek?
So far, I can't.
Thanks.

I use F12 also to center my IRTrack. I use it with a CHProducts fighterstick which I have programed through FSUIPC.

I found that I had to note which joystick and button was being pressed and then set it to something like "0". I then went into the FSUIPC ini file and manually changed the "0" to the F-12 code. Did the same thing for F-9 to freeze IRTrack.

I know I changed my key assignments, but it has been so long ago, I can't remember where (and I am at work right now, but couldd dig further). I also use voice recognition, so, I have those new key assignments installed in my 'voice set', so all I have to do is say 'center' and my trackIR resets. I also do this for head movement...saying 'head', holds 'my head' still, or allows it to move again.

Do you have a separate numpad on your keyboard?

If not, toggle num lock key.

Otherwise you might want to try the "fn" or function key on your keyboard (if present) and then try "f-12".

Had the same problem with my Trust Vista media center keyboard.

I have an X-45 with a couple of buttons assigned to
'Center' and 'Enable' TrackIR4.

In my case, I assigned different key combos in TrackIR
and then programmed those keys into the X-45 using the
profile editor. I already had an FSX profile so it was just
a matter of modifying the existing profile.

You can also do it, as someone noted here, using FSUIPC
I believe but I've not tried that method for TrackIR although
I've used it for other functions.

Be sure to ALSO program a key for "Enable" as you will
find that function quite useful when trying to activate
switches/controls while flying from the VC. Being able to
'freeze' your view during control activations saves ALOT
of frustration trying to 'hit' click spots from oblique
angles.

I also add three additional 'CameraDefinition.00x' sections
to all my FSX aircraft.cfg files with "HotKeySelect=" statements
added so that I can switch VC positions rapidly.
I use the #2 hat switch on my X-45 throttle to choose
, for instance, right seat/left seat/overhead/FE views
with a flick of my thumb.

The above implemantations makesflying FSX aircraft from the
VC a very 'immersive' experience.
