Today I started FSX but my TrackIr would not load. I would get a ERROR message and no lights on the unit. Reinstalled, rebooted 3x.
Read through all the forums trying everything including sacrificing a chicken. Nothing!
Going without Trackir has to be up their with withdrawals cause I went nutz.

Here is the deal.

2 days ago I updated my Ati 5870 to the latest drivers. Still used my same settings carried over so no biggie. BUT---- Now if you have Open gl triple buffering checked, Trackir I WILL NOT LOAD.

Knowing this I did a search and it seems to be driver related. Trackir seems to be aware of it and I just want you all to be also so you do not go through what I did today.

Interesting! Yesterday I was experimenting with old TrackIR drivers to see if I could fool P3d and get it working there. Long story short. I failed, but I had V4 TIR working. It never ocurred to me to try the v5 software. But as I say v4 works for me with these latest drivers. btw I have a Saphire 6870 card.
