The original was so...original, I can't wait to see how this turns out. (I'm surprised none of you other nerds posted this before me.:icon_lol:)

I think it's important to mention that this isn't a true trailer in the sense that it showcases scenes from the movie itself, rather it's a tech demo that was shown 12 months ago at the last comic con to demonstrate how the finished product might look and feel.

Even taking that into account I think it looks fantastic. Tron is one of those films that holds incredible childhood memories for me, and I think one of those films alongside War Games and later Sneakers that spawned a generation of tech savvy software engineers and creative types.

I'm not a fan of remaking, rebooting or creating sequels to old franchises for no particular reason but if anything needs it Tron does.

I hope Daft Punk manage to get the original "Tron Scherzo" melody in there somewhere. It's suitably iconic and the film wouldn't feel the same without it!

Tron was an incredible movie back then. So much of the movie was almost invisible with the dark area's. This should show some better detail on the objects and vehicles.

The original hover tank was just brilliant.... The original Light Cycles were also fully enclosed. I guess times are changing and open bikes are most popular. Cool how the entire bike spawns from a single cylinder the size of a light saber.
