The Truk Missions for PTO Solomons are finished and tested.There are 15 missions and 2 of them you fly the Helldiver.Since there is no Truk in Solomons I found a place I thought would be good.

There is a Night Corsair included in the package.Capt.Winters did the plane and Bravo did the textures for me.

Also included will be new facilities,new XDPs for planes and buildings ( the buildings burn much better ),new spawn files and a new effects file.

I also used some planes from PTO Rising Sun.The planes I'm using were originally made for the Solomons before we knew about Rising Sun.It's easy to put them in Solomons and will be explained in the readme.

Once I get back home next week I will do the readme and release them.

I am still working on missions for Rabaull which will be for Rising Sun.These will be as historical as possible because of game limitations.

I'm not actually building that many missions.The Truk missions were done along time ago,I was just waiting for the Helldiver to be released.As for Rabaul I was waiting for the Helldiver also.

Now I'm playing with Korea and bringing some of the planes up to specs since it was done long ago.

Looking forward to the Korean work, Not enough time has been spent on building for the the DPC Expansion I think..
This will be a treat to many..
 
One also has to check the loadout of every plane required in the missions; I had a few weapons missing wich made the game shut down when the misson was prompted. once that was taken care of everything whent smoothly.:icon_lol: These set of missions are great!:icon29::icon29:

I cannot figure out the .zx files;where do I put those?
 
also the link to B25J "Betty's Dream" in the Rabaul pkg is not operable....don't know if it's used in the Truk missions but if so??? any help or links to missing weapons....we'll probably most of us run into the same thing. also.....aircraft apaches_bats ?? and gosd....i think .zx files go in the "terrains" folder..........thanks

Did you have to import the weapons from Rising Sun? I ask because I got these planes before RS was done so I may have gotten the weapons with the planes.That was 2 or 3 years ago.

Thanks fellas......Talon, I was installing the Rabaul pkg as per your readme........which did have a B25J in it and missions that pooped out without it in my PTO aircraft directory.........couldn't dig up the one called for and just substituted the old 3us one which seemed to work fine. Now....on to install your pkg which I'm looking forward to immensely.......thanks for the weapons heads up. Cheers...

Al, this works Great on my machine, I have a Advanced PTO along with a Virgin set up..
In My advanced PTO set up I have imported all of Rising Sun when it came out..
Including the Country file info..
So I would expect this to run with out a hitch..

I have One Question please, is it possible to get the effects lines for the Effects file..You changed or added.

I have a heavily modded Effects file in My PTO advanced and can't change it out with your effects file given with the Truk mission set..

I don't think you have to add any of the zx.files for the ships.They are automatically made when the ships were zipped.Same thing happens when planes are zipped.

Owen that effect fyle was made along time ago but you need the fx T1 through fx T12 and all the corresponding files that go with them plus the fx oil tanker.They are in the ETO effects file.

For the Rabaul missions.Basically it was just 1 mission on November 5,1943.What I have done is made 3 missions from different perspective.
1) Fighter escort
2) Avenger attack
3) Dauntless attack.

For the November 11 attack they will be split up the same way but there will be Helldiver attack and 2 Fighter missions defending the Fleet.

These will be for PTO Rising Sun. I'm still working on them so it will take a liitle time to finish.
