Turning off The Flak?

I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the flak for the practice missions; I would like to work on strafing technique, etc. without having to worry about being shot down by the incessant flak.

Thanks for any help.
 
hello chaz welcome to the outhouse. when you start the game a window comes up right away. pick free flight.theres no flak or other aircraft.
 
Yes that's right, Freeflight is one of the Quick Combat options, ther are no spawned enemy E/A either.
