Hey all,

Well, I have wanted this show for ages now. (Years....). I was looking online, had just written an email request to iTunes for it to be sold there, and dang if I didnt find it for sale in a Mega Box, all 26 episodes...

Bad side, it was $80.00 USD.

So I looked on ebay and other places, and I found it on Amazon.com new in the package, for $20.00 USD....

Well, tonight it arrived. :d :d :d


Just watched episode one. I dont think I had ever seen it. Really makes me wonder now if that show was 'helped' by the government of England and the USA... The way it went on about people disappearing, etc, really made you think about the realities of reports and all.


Anyways.. Thought I would share that. Its available at Amazon for anyone that wants the series.

I bought the U.K. version of this boxset, when it first came out, back in 2002. I've watched it about four times since then. One of the few shows from my childhood that still holds up. And as for Gabrielle Drake. Well what can I say? Definitely one of the main draws of the show, as demonstrated in this, not too subtle, tribute. :icon_lol:

Yep. She really helps the series quite a bit, lol.. She is incredibly hot, especially without the purple hair. Her acting was good too.

Just finished watching the first series
My wife found what looks like most of the series at a local library so we get to see it for free.I remember most of em form my early childhood but what surprises me is UFO still looks good and not to dated

Man, you did well. Its like its forgotten here in the States.

Yes, still looks quite modern. I cant believe how well they made those little Mobile tanks look with just being models. How they had them rock around and kick dirt and dust up.

Did you see how their 'ShadAir' SST was painted in Jane Airways colors, white with a red stripe, lol... That was classic..

Yeah I really like the models and the level of detail in UFO
pretty sure its the same mob that did the Thunderbirds series and movies(Im a big thunderbirds fan :) ) CGI has almost killed off the model making trade,shame really as it kinda to clean these days.Ah well so long as they keep moving these classics to the current day mediums we shouldnt complain

Sure was. Gerry Anderson and his Century 21 Productions. They were responsible for a lot of my childhood favourite, such as Stingray and Thunderbirds, as well as live action fare such as UFO and Space 1999. My all time favourite series from them, however, still remains Captain Scarlet. For a children's show featuring puppets it was just so dark.

Plus it had the coolest jets:

Well, I am down to 2 episodes left, DVD 8... arrghh.. I have been watching one at night. A couple of times, I cheated and watched 2 in a night. What an awesome series. I cant believe SciFi channel passed this up, lol.. I cant believe they cancelled this show!

Even today, this show cooks! Some interesting avenues crossed on concepts from time to conciousness... Also alot of parallels with actual UFO sightings from back then.

Last night was interesting. The area around SHADO base was hit in a time lock. For a fraction of a second, the Aliens had frozen time in that area in the efforts to wipe out the control center. Straker and his number 1 evaded the 'siezure' or lock-down by chance and were stuck in the area with all things moving being frozen like stone; birds in the air, a chair being tossed into the air by a loading employee, etc. Whats odd is how the show started. Straker appears out of no where smashing up things in the control room. Come to find out near the end, why and what he was doing.


Great series. If you can find it, its well worth it if you are a big SciFi fan and into UFO's. Mind you, this is from the 1970's and is their perception of what the future is like. Also, I might add, they do a TON (a whole lot) of shots of young, skinny ladies in tight clothes and mini skirts. I guess they figured the future would be wild and risque.

Hi there I have had this series for years on dvd, they were issued in 2004 on dvd around the World. For collectors there are diffrent extras for diffrent Countries, like Germany France Italy Australia and USA. So if one whants to see diffrent extas you will have to buy each language to get it. Hoever I know that there is a movie Trilogy based on these series in making in england and a possible Tv series to.
