What is the ugliest aircraft of World War 2. For me it has to be the Ju 52 and the Faiery Firefly :icon_lol:. Whats yours?

Blohm & Voss 141, I think somone lost the instructions on how to build it!

Must be any 30ish British or French design. They have so many truly pitiful ugly planes it's hard to choose just one. :costumes:

I usede to think it was the Italian bombers but after awhile they grew on me and now are quite nice, in my eyes....as we all know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I would imagine the ugliest plane to pilots of the WW@ era would be the one that was on yer six!!!

Pat_Pattle, you beat me to it! But, I wouldn't exactly say that. However, I would say that it looks like there were some parts missing from the kit. :costumes::costumes::costumes::d

Maybe not exactly WW2 but still funny:d

Farman F-4X Jabirus

Vickers Vildebeest

JU 287

Caproni CA-60

Caproni Stipa

Bravo, haha were did you dig up those planes, they're hilarious. I was thinking of the Blomm and Voss but forgot what it was called (someone should make a add on of that thing for cfs3:icon_lol:).But the storch is awesome in a strange way

... Caproni CA-60 ...

Is that the floating hotel with a lot of porches on top? Looks more like a sanatorium to me :d You 're not telling me it really did fly??

And I must say, the name 'Vildebeest' is chosen well - it has the same ugly hump as the animal.

the Blohm and Voss air recon plane was a great design, but never really used as far as I know

the Storch was a design by Fieseler (a pilot and aircraft engineer). He wanted to build an aircraft with extreme short take off/landing capability, and that is what the Storch did (needed about 50 m to take off into the wind, 20 to land, minimal speed 45 km/h and things like that). That may explain its appearance......

The Supermarine Dumbo is rather nasty... in a fairly ordinary way. Somebody made one for CFS2, but withdrew it quite quickly. If anyone has it lying round, I'd be glad to have a copy! It hardly managed even to take off...

The photo doesn't really do it justice...

Actually, it isn't that ugly, I just wanted to show you it!

I actually think the Storch is an attractive aircraft. The French and Italians hold the candle for ugly and weird WW II aircraft with the Russians running a tight third.

But in a world of ugly aircraft, that CA-60 takes the cake, albeit not WW II.

Ha Ha !

:mixedsmi:

Ha-ha-!!!!!! Man that Caprione CA-60 is UGLY !!!!!!

Jeepers, the designer must have loved it. Maybe he had a love /hate relationship with his mother. maybe they were farmers, as this must have been built for carrying Hay Bales-- or food parcels for Mussolini. :d.

The P-47 is a ugly duck, but i still love it. It didn't get the name "Jug" by chance. Still a tough fighter in my opinion.
