Is there a Librarian In the House?

I'm trying to upload a zip file just under 16MB. I've followed the standard procedure but I keep getting a message telling me that my file is too large for the file type:banghead:.
Is there a Rami in the house?

Ravenna,

Are you sure you are putting it in the "upload file" box, rather than the "image upload" box? :dizzy:

Ravenna,

If that doesn't work, make sure the picture you're using has the dimensions of about 300 x 225.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Other UIRES and screens

Description: World War One
Western Front 1914-1918
UIRES SCREENS part 1

This set of UIRES screens is for a World War One installation of Combat Flight Simulator 2.

The enclosed country screens are for the Royal Naval Air Service and the Imperial German Naval Air Service, both of which saw extensive operational service over Flanders and northern France from 1915 to 1918. Also included are non-country screens including a choice of start and splash screens.
I have included a reworked country.cfg with 14 “country” entries. Ten of these entries have a full text for screens, ranks and decorations. As I have called this part 1 you can expect other instalments in the coming months.

The numbering for the entries follows the Aerocrate country.cfg with the exception of the Australian Flying Corps which now becomes “country.12”. I have omitted RFC (Canada) as there is no evidence of designated Canadian squadrons in the Royal Flying Corps.

My thanks to Kurt Schwabauer (Captain Kurt) for pointing out errors and problems and for his ongoing encouragement and assistance. This set is much better for his input. Thanks also to Kevin Driver (Kdriver) for pointing out my spelling mistakes and misnomers.

As always, back up your existing files before overwriting them with this set.

If you spot any errors or would like to make a suggestion, I’d be happy to have your feedback.

Mike Lang,

(Ravenna) Feb 2020

Michael,

Thank you very much for creating these, and thanks to Captain Kurt and Kdriver for their efforts in putting this together as well! :applause:

Thanks for the kudos, but this is all Ravenna's effort and initiative. All I did was to answer questions and encourage, nothing unusual in this community.

So thank you Mike - and keep going. :encouragement:

Excellent! Thank you VERY much Ravenna:applause:, this was really needed. Going right into my CFS2WWI install.

Yes, this was all Michael's great work - congratulations and thank you Mike!

Thanks guys.
I still have a few photographs for the German Naval Air Service which show very informal pilot groups, clearly at their ease and showing a sense of fun. A long way from the formal, posed pics commonly found.

Hi Ravenna
Nice work.:applause::applause::applause:
Did you get the background from one of our old lounges?
Cheers
Stuart

:biggrin-new: Actually it came from a fabric decal for WW1 RFC aircraft. By the time I resized it it came out more like tunic fabric.
Any thoughts on the best start background: fabric/textured, plain colour, map or photograph?

Hi Ravenna
I have changed my mind.
The texture is exactly the same (different colour) as our new lounge.
But importantly, it is supposed to be CATproof!!!!!
Has been so far (touch wood)
Cheers
Stuart

PS
Looked like good rain in the northern Blue Mountains and the New England today.

Stuart,
I have a mate who lives in Uralla. He rang me this morning to tell me it had been raining for six hours. That's the first rain they've had since last September.
PS, hopefully your monitor screen is cat proof!

Nice Uries. I do not have a WWI install yet but plan to.
You Aussies have had had a terrible summer there. Not too familiar where all the fires are ( SE?), but glad rain is there wherever.

Hello Highpockets,
Thanks for the comment. More screens to follow.

Yes, it has been a bad Summer. Never thought I'd see the day when smoke from Australian fires would rise so high that it travelled around the globe. Not a desirable export. Most of the fires have been in the South East and have wiped out over 7 million hectares, not to mention the estimated 1 billion native animals wiped out (not counting insects).
