I have downloaded and installed UK VFR. The new mesh is very good, however, unlike in the screenshots, there are no villages, towns or cities, just the standard buildings and trees that are dotted all around the country replaced with new ones, even in cities there are just random ones scattered here and there, no clumps as in real life, Plus, where are the animals, veihcles and people included?

the animals etc... are to do with the AGenT, you place them using the AGenT tool then save, you have to populate it yourself at times :kilroy:

I think you may still have to install the Justflight/Visualflight VFR Scenery packages, otherwise you'll just get the default buildings etc.

Jack, are you using photo real scenery or the FS9 default scenery? If using the default scenery, the default autogen seems to take priority. If you are using photo real scenery (VFR photographic etc) there shouldn't be any autogen unless you have installed third party add ons.

The AgenT tool is for adding what you want from the UK VFR library to where you want it, just like EZ-Scenery or runway 12 scenery placing tools. I have planted the whole of England and Wales with millions of trees using AgenT, it takes a while, but is well worth the time and effort, but be aware that sometimes you will find heavily wooded lakes and rivers and the occasional forested harbour. It is quite easy to remove these unwanted trees. There would appear to be a problem with AgenT realising which textures are forests and woods and which are lakes and waterways.

The UK VFR scenery website has been down for some years now, but there are still quite a lot of sceneries available which make a huge difference to the photo scenery flying experience.

Sandar do you have TCalc or Identify Tile, been looking high and low for a download of either, only to find nothing, was hoping to autogen the area around where i live, but without the identify tile thing its a pain in the rear...

Sorry Smoothie, I'm afraid it is a dose of piles (pain in the arse) time. Planting the trees is automatic, if time consuming. When removing trees from lakes and harbours, I do it when I see them while over flying infected areas. Pause the sim and activate AgenT, it should generate the correct texture file, if not it will be one very near. Time consuming? yes! Pain in the bum? definitely.

I didn't know about either of the programs you named, but will look out for them.

It has taken me years to add 3D and autogen scenery to my photo scenery and I am still adding a bit each week. It is the main reason why I won't 'upgrade' to FSX, that and I will need a more powerful PC and I cannot see why I should buy a new and expensive system for a £40 odd computer game. I am quite happy with what I have.

yeah i have the file now thanks to Wing_Z time to set to work :jump: first area i'll look at doing is Baxterley Farm
