Ultimate Terrain Landmarks/Bridges question

Hi

Just wondering if any one knows any (quality) freeware scenery addons that are compatible with ultimate terrain and possibly restore (correctly) some of the misplaced bridges and landmarks (removed by Ultimate Terrain) for USA, Canada/Alaska, and Europe. For instance, is the Aerosoft Alcatraz compatible with UT?

Any help will be appreciated

There are some excellent Canadian airports and sceneries at Flight Ontario, along with some very nicely done RCAF re-paints for the SectionF8 F-86/CF-86 Sabre that are compatible with Ultimate terrain Alaska/Canada. Check out the Burlington Skyway and Bloor Viaduct in the Hamilton/Burlington and Toronto photoreal sceneries respectively.

Q is a great start. In addition you could do a search at flightsim and avsim looking for ultimate terrain. There's a bunch more stuff for corrections. I have a whole additional folder above the q (which is excellent btw).

Wolfgang -check out this site/utility regarding bridges and landmarks:

http://www.qlrp4ut.com/Download and Install#ConfigTool (by one of the UT guys)

and yes, Aerosoft's Alcatraz works just fine - as do many others. Just search 'Ultimate Terrain' at Flightsim/Avsim and you should get a whole bunch of compatable sceneries including Holger Sandman's Glacier Bay (a must have)

Is there an easy uninstall in case things don't go well?
This sounds very interesting. I don't like not having roads/bridges line up. :(

I must be a bit behind...I'm not sure exactly what it does? Seems awfully complicated for what it says it does; Is it compatible with 3rd party sceneries and whatnot?

Hi,

I was wondering, is there anyway I can install VOZ 1.8 without altering my existing GEPROII, UT Terrain FS9 installation. I ask this because in the manual it states that some of the North American Textures might be replaced, and that VOZ works best on a fresh FS9 installation. If someone can tell me which VOZ files I can install to improve Australia without altering the GEPRO/UT files, I will very much appreciate it.

Thanks for any help

Hi Felixthreeone - if you have any of the Ultimate Terrain series, what this utility does is reposition the misplaced default bridges and landmarks to fit in pretty perfectly with their (corrected) scenery. There are options available to individually switch off areas that might be covered by a number of well-known payware add-ons to avoid any conflict. Really very easy to install. As said above, a must have for any UT users.

And Tom - you can uninstall and reset the defaults very easily.

It costs nothing to download and try (there are no limitations) but you are asked to make a small donation (US$9.95) if you choose to keep it after 30 days.

This link will take you to the front page where all is explained:

Hope this helps, A.
