Hi All,

I just needed to vent, sorry. Ultimate Terrain makes me so mad sometimes. I seem to have the worst luck with it. I have roadways in the water and double coasts. Ergggh. I dont know of a way to fix it. I have looked on line and all the info I see and tried just doesnt seem to fix it.

If anybody has some secrets to share on Ultimate Terrain usage to get it to not give me double coastlines please share and excuse my previous rant.

Sounds like you may have some scenery files located higher than Ultimate Terrain in the add-on scenery index.

I have similar UT problems here and there, usually in Alaska and Washington state. As Tom suggested I tried the SimForums but nothing popped up. However, after googling the issue I found these:

http://www.simforums.com/forums/fs9-ut-usa-double-seattle-coastline_topic27222.html.

http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showt...e-of-the-Double-Coastlines-quot-problem/page3

Hope these help. And just for clarification, in general higher scenery priority means lower on the scenery list right? Scenery 25 has less priority than scenery 26?

No mate.. the smaller the number, the higher the priority. Scenery 1 has the highest e t c;)

If it has to have the highest priority.. yes mate. The very last scenery you install will always be at the top.. Priority 1.. so if you've only just installed this, it should already be there unless it's wormed it's way down the list somehow. I used to have UT Canada/Alaska in a previous install and I don't remember having any problems with it but.. I didn't have any other scenery in that area to interfere and it's been a L O N G time ago.

Generally speaking, the smaller the scenery, the higher priority it should have. For instance, a large mesh (country/continent) should be put in first, then a small mesh package (Grand Canyon, Pike's Peak, etc.) would go in next on top of the first package. After that would come addon cityscapes like a New York skyline, then addon airports at the top. "Your results may vary," and always check the readme's that come with each package.

That's a result of sorts:encouragement:

Agree completely with Tom's post;) Hope you've never had to install Earthsimulations scenery for FSX. You'll know what frustration is all about!!!:dizzy: Pity they went under as their scenery was great but strewth.. was it a pain in the butt to install.
