Uninstall previous version of P3D?

I never ported much of anything to the first version of P3D. Is there any reason to keep it installed? Am thinking I could use the hard drive space.....NC

If you don't use it and don't plan on using it now in the future, then delete that thing!

Just be careful to delete 1.4 and not 2.0. ;)

Although I have downloaded V2, I have not installed it. I was waiting on my Saitek controllers to arrive back from warranty work. They arrived today, so you KNOW I plan on having fun this evening!!! Whoo hoo!!!! NC

How did it go, Navy Chief?

Bill, I installed V2 (took a while!). The most difficult part is setting up my Saitek controllers. I received replacement joystick and throttle, but in the meantime, had bought Saitek pedals. They are apparently much more sensitive than the CH products model; leastwise that is my experience. My system, so far, seems to handle everything that V2 can dish out, quite effortlessly. Not bad for a system I built over three years ago, and I haven't installed the SSD drives yet! I think I will concentrate on porting over carrier aircraft and associated scenery first. I like being able to select a list of my "favorite aircraft". I noticed the runway lights (from above, close to the ground) seemed abnormally large. Strange. Also, it feels like the aircraft, no matter what model, seems to fly faster than normal. Maybe because of increased frame rate capability? No clue. All in all, I am blown away by the graphics in this software! NC
