Update On A Classic...

Good new that. I always enjoyed flying in the old Convairs, both piston and turboprop and I like flying them in FS 9.

VIrtual Birds Factory (Hans Hermann) has always produced top-notch detailed repaints for the classic propliners, it's great to hear he's taken on (re)modeling as well.

Looking forward to that FAA repaint in particular, though it needs the button nose radar to look truly authentic rumbling into EDDI.

Good stuff!

I might just have to add the cargo version to my hangar....while I am not really all that much into tubeliners...the CV-240 cargo...that would be handy for flying pieces and parts of the vintage GA aircraft I like to restore to my newly acquired retoration facility on Orcas Island. My old C-47 is getting long in the tooth and needs to be restored herself, so the CV-240 would make a nice stand it for her.

no pictures of a vc, but the VC in the gibson/pepper model they are revising was recently upgraded. If they do any additional upgrade work on the VC, so much the better.

here's a quote: "After our prepared liveries will be released, we will offer a paint kit. And don't worry, I can assure you that Calclassic's VC is included in the packages."

This model has always been a solid performer in fs9.
the freight haulers got my attention too! Yeah baby, barn doors!

I can attest to the fact that the newer Convairs at CalClassics now have nice virtual cockpits. Instruments are clear and legible, switches are clickable, works well in FS9 and FSX.
