While we wait for VPA to resolve their issues with Dassault Aviation before releasing their new Rafale C for FS2004, I spotted a very thorough rework of the Cyril Pioffet (Gator) version. Here is the description:

This is a complete package including Cyril Pioffet's original Rafale C model (no VC), a new 2D panel, all available effects and fixes found on the internet and two new liveries.

The new 2D panel is a big enough improvement to warrant a PDF manual* and the new textures include a bird from EC 1/7 'Provence' and a Tigermeet scheme. All in all a very nice package that breathes a lot of extended life into Gator's original.

Download from Simviation.

*The included manual says Gator's Rafale was released in 2007 but it was originally released in December 2002. It was ported from FS2002 into FS2004 in early 2004.

Hi Frank, I spotted it at Flightsim also, how does the exterior look? Mike ;)
It's essentually Gator's Rafale still on the outside. New unit markings and the Tigermeet scheme is new. I converted the textures from 888-8 to DXT3 which seems to work better (sharper) on my system.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for your kind comments. I made a few other mistakes in the PDF manual :redf::

  • The Auto-Throttle switch is A/T, not ATTH
  • ATTH is the Altitude Hold switch

Best regards,
Fabrice

Hey Frank --

Thanks for the HU... downloading now. :salute: Gator's Rafale A, C, and M variants have stood the test of time very well. They still get lots of "air time" from my virtual airstrips... and a blast to fly too!

No worries. :icon_lol: Thank you very much for the new panel and for integrating
many of the updates that have been made over the years. As Blackbird686 said,
Cyril's Rafale has stood the test of time.
