I've always liked that model. There's a lot of little detail you rarely see, like the streamers on the pitot covers that sway as if there's a breze blowing.

That is an awesome looking plane. Sort of the French version of our Constellation. Love that tail section.

I didn't know at first whether she is ugly or not! She is unique!
I had never heard of, or seen her before, but she certainly will become one of my favorites!

Thanks Wing_Z for the HU!

A beautifull plane indeed. I see it more like a French equivalent of the B377, instead of a Constellation.
I suppose this plane is still missing a virtual cockpit ?

Definitely, a contemporary of the Stratocruiser, but I see A380 thinking there already.
Double-decking was quite popular in the time though; the DC-4E had it, and a tri-tail too.

Yes you have to fight your way through all those '50's 2d steam gauges!

I think she is very elegant...thanks for the SW lights Stuart, I dropped the strobes as being unlikely for the vintage, though!

I was never a fan of that plane's original panel, and since there's no VC, I opted for the original vncon20.zip package's panel files. It may not be the most realistic thing in the world, but with adjustments to the radio and autopilot sections of the aircraft.cfg sections for compatibility, it works perfectly.

As it had no VC, I reworked it a bit and now have AI Deux Ponts flying in and out of France.

I downloaded it last night and took her to Paris from Heathrow. Loved it!

I'll be getting the new photo real paint scheme for it.

I'll have to check out that panel Tom.

I've just re-installed this beauty again ( had it for several years ), love the unusual shape.

For the panel, I've aliased it to the Cal Classic DC-6 ..... same for the sounds.

Anybody interested in doing some fictional cargo textures ( Northern Canada or Alaska bush flying ) I'd really appreciate it .

Thanks.

Pete.
