US dollar climbing

I hope the dollar continues to slide. Then HOPEFULLY people in other countries with money can buy our shodilly made products. There by employing more Americans. Maybe they'll out source there jobs here!!!. Now that's a switch.

I'm not wanting to see anyone's currency take a dive. But I'm worried about the financial futures here.

I'm sorry. Its just that America was always there to help. Now we appear to be going down, and taking everybody with us!!! As for me, I apologize to the world....As an American.

Don't get maudlin dandog. The rest of the world was lapping up U.S. collateralized mortgage debt as a secure investment. These investments weren't scrutinized properly and the ratings firm like Moody's and such were either asleep at the switch or bought-out by the big investment bankers until the bitter end. A few indictments of the CEO’s of some of the most offending companies would seem to be in order. Perhaps on a charge of treason, since it seems they were attempting to overthrow the stability of the U.S. economy by cover-up, mal-faience and unadulterated greed. Hang a few scoundrels now to curb any future abuses. However, it seems that the worst these plutocrats will get is a haranguing from some congressional hearings and the poor little rich people will go their merry way, Scot free with their golden parachutes intact. We need a Marat to publish a L'Ami du peuple and name some names to be scheduled for Madame Guillotine. MHO LOL <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

It really is doubled edged sword.
The USD climbs in value.
On one hand 'imports' are cheaper.
On the other, your export market falls over because US prices become too high.
With falling exports comes less 'Domestic' manufacturing leading to more 'off shore' moves and falling employment.
Less jobs on the home front equal less money equals falling sales equals more unemployment, and so it goes.

Speaking from 'Down Under', there are a whole raft of benefits.
Our export markets will grow, especially in the area of food and minerals.
The Australian 'Tourist Market' is a much more attractive prospect with many areas in the business picking right up.

And as for the cost of 'Flight Sim Add-ons', they fall under the heading of 'What I Want' as distinct from 'What I Need'.
I really have no 'Need' of such fripperies ......... :d

People should really get their priorities straight.
