The USAAF textures for the beautiful freeware RCS B-25J are available.

They can be found here <== link.

The sad news however is that Steve "Audixaudix" Wayne can not combine FS work with his current private life due to very serious family matters. So this will most presumably be the last repaint for this beautiful aircraft.

When you read this Steve, I wish you all the strenght you need in this difficul period and you are in my thoughts.

Cheers,
Huub

Just DL'd it. Thanks for the HU. Sorry to hear that Steve won't be continuing his work on this beauty. I was looking forward to the upgraded VC he was planning to release. Oh well, perhaps Roy or someone else will finish the work on the VC. Upgrade or not, this is still one of the nicest freeware add-ons that I've ever had!

Looks good!
Just wondering, is this a 'real' paint, or a fictitious one? The colors don't mean anything to me?
The contract for 44-39602 was cancelled I believe, so probably fictitious?

Jan Kees, based on what I heard from Steve I assume it is fictitious.

It is most probably similar as with the Dutch livery. The Dutch flew with the J version and the registration NO-K actually existed. But the Dutch received the J version in February 1945, therefore it is not very logical the J versions had the black&white invasion stripes and the aircraft with the registration NO-K was most probably an earlier version Mk.II version.

Perhaps not fully historical corrext, but nevertheless I think the repaints look gorgeous ;)

Cheers,
Huub

indeed, not historically correct.
I also noticed that all paintjobs have the same crew names, interesting that, these pilots etc certainly moved around!
But they look very nice indeed.
Too bad they never produced a paintkit..

Have you looked at the textures , the lay out is like a jig-saw puzzle and only for the experienced! :isadizzy:. Most parts are on more than one file and all in a different scale.

As Steve stopped I considered to make start on a paintkit, but even with a layered paintkit it is hardly possible to make repaints due to the lay-out.

Now I understand why Steve said he couldn't turn the file he used into a proper paintkit....

About the crew; they are a bit like me :d, today I fly in Europe, tomorrow I fly in Australia and somewhere in between I will the Tunesian desert ;) (However always in FS2004 or FSX :d).

CHeers,
Huub
