USCG Air Stations

Anyone tried this and got it to work??

It freezes up and closes out my FS9 when attempting to go to any of the 3 air station scenerys. (usually around 50% terrain load)

I've checked for duplicate afcads, pulled the landclass files out and made a seperate landclass scenery install... (maybe I'm missing some? pulled the bgl's named landclass and the vtpp ones).

On another note: The AI Jayhawk has no airfile or aircraft.cfg. I fixed this with the files from the same Jayhawk I already had and reconfigured the cfg to match the title, model/sim, textures, etc. (using ttools, notepad)

BTW, I did go ahead and send John a heads-up via e-mail. Waiting to hear if anything jumps out at him. I think this will be a nice addition if I can get it to work.

FS9 Scenery for CGAS Astoria, CGAS Humboldt, and CGAS Port Angeles. I started this scenery as a re-creation of the United States Coast Guard Air Station at Astoria, Oregon. When I looked at the result it seemed a bit empty so I added most of the general aviation airport buildings. Of course, once I started flying Jordon Moore's great Jayhawk, I realized I needed somewhere to fly to. So I re-created CGAS Humboldt (Arcata-Eureka in California) to the south and CGAS Port Angeles, Washington to the north. Hope you like them.

EDIT: John pulled the file temporarily from the avsim library in order to get the fixes in. It's quite nice, so don't miss it once it is released again.

John got me all fixed up!

Turned out he accidentally left out some textures that go to ...\Scenery\World\texture. After installing those, no more crashes and I now have some neat, new and improved scenerys.

Thankyou John!! :applause:

Fixed and released at avsim!

Be cautious: I noticed that one of the textures that go to Scenery\World\texture is riversu.bmp which I didn't want overwritten. It appears to be the default narrow rivers that FS uses. I have used Holger Buskeros' new wider rivers texture since FS2002 and prefer its wider look. Just a heads up.
All else looks great!

for the wider rivers texture
