While trying to find a problem with my CFS2 pacific theater ( No free light, QC) that has suddenly developed, I stumbled on that many of Usio's fine ships only have model and panel folders. No Sound, Texture, Cfg, DP , etc folders. Is this right or do I have a bunch of improper files. I always thought that you needed the four main folders and DP and Cfg to define the item. Could these be suddenly throwing off my QC, or should I look elsewhere?

Your Usio's ships should have the files you said are missing, the sound and panel folders might have place holders. You need to re-download those ships, I would also check any other ships you have downloaded from any
other source. ckissling

I experienced this once awhile ago...the panel and sound folders MUST have a text file in them. If you use a utility that automatically deletes empty folders while cleaning your drives, these will be deleted without some text file in them.

While CFS2 ships do not usually need a panel.cfg or sound.cfg, if these folders are not in the ship file, the ship will not appear. USIO's ships have these folders with text files. AI only aircraft have them too. I'm not sure about vehicles tho.

To fix this problem, simply create folders in your ship file, name one panel and one sound. Create a notepad text document simply using the word panel or sound (respectively) and put these in the folders. This should solve your issue....
