USMC repaint for AT-11

Records show that the US Navy received 110 Kansans, designated in Navy language as the SNB-1.
And of course the Marines received a few of these. This repaint represents one of 7 SNB-1s assigned to Marine Operational Training Squadron 811 stationed at MCAS Cherry Point NC in 1945.
These screenshots were taken FSX. I will be uploading textures suitable for FS9 as well.

OK I found a good real world aircraft to paint, so next up will be a SNB-1 attached to the reserve component at NAS JAX circa 1947. Since a few Marines flew it about to keep ME current it won't be that blasphemous!

Here's the Navy SNB-1

Sweet!

Is there any specific history behind the flashy prop warning ribbon on those navy birds?
Didn't see those on USA(A)F versions yet...

You might want to check the alpha channel of the upper fuselage textures:
The stock alpha template is made for the turret model (some copy&paste needed)!

Cheers,
Markus.

The prop warnings were started in 1947 per SR21 dated January 1947. As far as the alpha for the turret, that was done on purpose as a lot of the Navy SNB-1's removed the turret assemblies as a field mod after the war when the aircraft reverted to nav trainers and utility aircraft.
