UT/meshes/sceneries what order?

Pardon if this has been answered before but how should the priority go for the default scenery, UT US/Can, any 3rd party meshes and add-on scenery? Is UT a mesh or only a scenery enhancer? Every now and then I come upon airports on a 2000' mesa, or on an elevated patch of water. I assume it is an incorrect priority stacking in the scenery listing. Just cite the forum that explains this if it is out there. Thanks loads.

I do not believe its a priority problem
it is one of the pitfalls of addon scenery
the terrain changes the height and also water
and if the person who is creating the scenery does not have
the same you would get differences
and everybodys set up is different
IE if you create an airfield with default terrain
it could be set at 100' but UT may be 50'

Mesh sets the height and its order doesn't matter. UT should go below any addon scenery. It is mainly a landclass type.

I strongly encourage you to read UT or your addons instructions. In some cases it can be tricky (FSG US landclass or some Holger Sandman' beautiful freeware for instance).

Yes UT was a bit fuzzy to install but it looks great. So some questions:
Can I edit airport elevations and do I need special software?
Does the above somehow account for non-airport anomalies? In the Corpus Christie area I have some stunning scenery seemingly oriented around certain bodies of water. Any ideas?

On bottom: all defaults (duh!)
then Ultimate Terrain
Landclass
LOD 7 and 8 mesh
Sceneries
LOD 9, 10, 11, 12 meshes

UT is an everything enhancer - new landclass, new roads, new shorelines, some new textures, new lights, etc. I do not know how to live without it.
HOWEVER, UT, while it is a miracle worker, is not a solution for everything. It covers a large area and misses small (but sometimes important) details in its landclass, obscures autogen, and does not enhance airports or include a new mesh.
Most importantly, it is not universally compatible! (Especially, much to my eternal annoyance, not with Emma Field, LA Wetlands, and Orcas Island...) Reshuffling of scenery priorities will fix some but not most of those problems. Best to leave one or the other addon uninstalled...

Do you have UT updated to version 1.3?
Fixed some nasty problems like that in my neck of the woods!

Don't recall an update but will look into it. And I think I have things in the right order but will move some around and hope.

For EMatheson. Mesh order doesn't matter. FS9 will automatically choose the best. If the LOD is the same, it will take the lowest priority (opposite of scenery).
