Utility For Scenery Designers

I found this utility to flatten areas "on the fly" while running CFS2. It generates a BGL file, which you add to the scenery in the usual way(after CFS2 is restarted).

It is called FSFlatten. It was designed for fs2002/fs2004 but works well in CFS2 with the FSUIPC module installed.

Here is a link to it:

click on the "Utility to flatten terrain" link.

Here is a link to the FSUIPC module:

Download version 3.90

So no more ocean climbing mountains in scenery not covered by e.g Richard Ludowise's CFS2 Coast Pacific.

Looks like just what the doctor ordered, Editor dude.:ernae:

BTW, one of my uploads contains converted fs2002 flattening BGL's for the entire Pacific theater plus Vietnam. They work well, but there are a couple of minor conflicts with a couple of airfields. Your flattener could fix those.

Nice...

I had seen this file before but didn't know if it was compatible. Looks like it is. :icon_lol: Thanks for pointing it out T E.

If you use it, make sure you change your screen resolution temporarily to 1280 x 720, or the "Connect" button will not display. The interface is non scrolling.
