After 8 days of successful use of MSFS following install of v1.17.3.0, I'm getting a request to install again. Anyone else experiencing this? Why would this occur? Did MS detect a problem with my install then want to fix it? I'm holding off reinstalling pending comments. Thanks.

There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

I got that too but it was only a few kilobytes.
Sometimes when there's a small patch after an update they don't bother updating the changelog screen for some reason.
don't worry about it, I don't know what it changed but it was a non event for me.

There are also some new effect files - possibly in preparation for the upcoming DX12 and particle effects.
