• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

v5.3: No wake, snow or spray effects. What gives?

As the title says. The wake, snow and spray effects have stopped showing up in the sim. What confuses me is the effects are still present in the Effects folder. Anyone have any idea? I noticed them missing after I installed the AH DC-3/C-47, but that may be a coincidence.

Apologies for digressing, but you may be able to assist me with a different issue.
You mentioned the AH DC-3.
Could you load up the Florida Air Cargo livery & check what I have written below & advise if the livery is 'normal', or 'sparkly', in your set up. I am wondering if it is a Graphics or Lighting or 'PBR' setting thing?

"I had this in P3D v5.2 HF1 & hoped moving to v5.3 HF1 would fix it, but it hasn't.
I have the latest version of the AH DC-3 for P3D v5+ & what appears to be the rivet lines 'sparkle/shimmer' unnaturally, in daytime & at night, per the attached screenshot. (Not just on 1 livery) [on the fin & above the words 'Air Cargo', in particular]
Anyone else had this, have an idea what is causing it, how to fix it?"
